Everett 9 Months

9 Months

What a busy month! Seems like you are growing up so fast. You are getting much more mobile and vocal now. You roll all over the place making your way from one side of the living room to the other! You can also army crawl backwards. Just at the end of this month, you can now go from tummy to sitting. You seem like you are going to crawl soon because you plank and also making the crawling stance, just haven’t figured out the forward motion yet besides launching yourself forward onto your tummy. When you sleep, you are all over that crib! You can pull yourself up to stand holding on to something. You aren’t too interested in walking yet, preferring to jump if anyone tries to get you walk!
Your sleeping patterns haven’t changed that much…much to my chagrin. You still have a dream feed and then are up around 4:00 to eat again. You eat at 7, 10, 2:30, 4, and 7. At 2:30 and 7 I feed you a bottle of formula, which sometimes you chug down and sometimes you absolutely refuse. But you love food! It’s nice now that you can pick up finger food and eat independently! You like purees still too. Your favourite is probably pear, but generally you like all fruit, especially the fresh strawberries, raspberries and black raspberries from the garden. You’ve started shrieking screaming to get our attention at meals. We are teaching you to say “more please”, so now you shriek scream and then say ‘na na” in the sweetest little voice, which we take to mean ‘more please’. You’ve also learned to say ‘no’ by shaking your head. Early this month you discovered how to close your eyes and play peek a boo that way. You thought it was so clever and hilarious (well, we all did), it was terribly cute!
You still love the jolly jumper, and the jumperoo. You love to go outside and sit in the grass and eat it if you can sneak it in your mouth without me seeing. You love watching your siblings play and also love other little kids, just looking at them makes you smile! You love music and will sing hum along.
This month we spent quite a bit of time at the cabin. You enjoyed having the jolly jumper right next to the kitchen. You also had pretty good naps in the laundry room with the loud furnace fan going! You liked the water somewhat, but not if we just dunked you in. That was too cold for you! We also had a week of VBS where you slept in the loud baby room.
