Waving 'hi'!
9 Months
This seems to have been a big month with a lot of
things! You are growing and learning so fast, and it’s incredible to watch.
Sleeping patterns haven’t changed a lot from last month. You still nap twice
and sleep through the night. I stopped giving you a dream feed at night and you
didn’t seem to care – it only took 1 night of training! This month you started
getting up really early (6:00am), so no sleeping in for me! I am only feeding
you 5 times now, but still usually 3 -3 ½ hours apart. You continue to love
food and will let me feed you from the spoon again, although you are very good
at eating with your fingers. You love cheerios! You learned to sign “more”
while eating cheerios (Feb 9). You also have learned “all done” and can wave
“hi”. It sounds like you also try to mimic those words – all done and hi. You
absolutely love walking. You would walk with me holding your hands all day long
if I’d let you! You are very cautiously walking around furniture. You have
really been moving around more by rolling. You have been getting happier and
happier, especially with other people. You are not so hesitant to give smiles
now, which melt peoples’ hearts when you give them a big shy smile. You are
also really getting ticklish. I just LOVE your giggle. You absolutely adore
Wren – anything he does is interesting and funny to you. Daddy also always gets
big smiles from you. You don’t like when mommy puts you down and walks away,
which means I get nothing done all day! Although, if daddy does the same thing,
you are happy as a clam to just sit and play by yourself with your toys for an
hour! Your very favourite thing to do (besides walking) is to empty out
baskets. You won’t rest until everything is all over the floor!
