6 Months
We had a great month! You are sleeping so much better. Most
of this month you have slept from 7:00/8:00pm-7:00am with one dream feed at
10:00. If you wake up you easily put yourself back to sleep! We also nap
trained you too so that you sleep at least an hour, and usually once a day have
a 2 hour nap. You usually have 3 naps totaling 4.5 hrs of sleeping. Also you go
to sleep right away. I give you your soother, but I think you spit it out right
away and go for your thumb! You suck your thumb a lot now and put the other
hand over to cover it (just like Wren used to do!). You stay awake 1 ½ - 2
hours except in the evening when you stay awake 2 ½ - 3 hours. You certainly
notice when mom is not in the room! You very much need to know I am close
(although if someone is babysitting, you don’t seem to play strange.) You also
are eating great from the bottle – a full feed (4 oz or so)! You eat every 3-4
hours and are nursing nicely, distractions don’t bother you too much anymore.
Some new skills are sitting (still supervised, but getting good at it!),
rolling (right at the end of this month you started rolling over a few times
and got some distance!), being very accurate when you grab for something,
giggling more and more, and comforting yourself (with your thumb) when you are
upset. You can spend a lot of time in your exersaucer and jumperoo, you like
chewing on Sophie and your red discovery toy, and really anything you can find
to put in your mouth. Everytime Wren or daddy looks at you, you give them big
smiles. You don’t love you playmat anymore and you are not a big fan of
reading…just want to eat the books. You started waving your hand in front of
your face…not sure what that is yet (do you know how to wave?!) Some big events
this month were seeing snow for the first time, a sleep over at Ryleigh’s and a
sleep over at Clay and Callie’s. It was quite cold and you are sleeping longer
and more consistently, so often we left you napping while Wren and I went
outside. At your doctor
appointment you were 15lbs 7.5oz.
