Annalise is 5 Months

She recently found her toes! She can now play with her feet even with a cloth diaper on!

Everything goes right to the mouth...toes are no exception!

She better learn to sit soon because the basket is getting too small!!

Liking tummy time again!

5 Months

This past month was actually quite similar to the last month. You still nap 4 times a day usually between 1 hour to 1 ½ hours and are generally up for 1 ½ hours. You go down easily for naps as long as you have your soother. You don’t pull it out as much anymore and can sometimes get it back in your mouth yourself. There were a few times that you napped only 3 times during the day, but the time change messed things up a bit. Before the time change you were sleeping until 8:00, and after the time change until 7:00. You were eating consistently 2 times a night, but getting up often to want your soother. Some nights it was every hour. This was becoming an unhealthy habit, so I started sleep training you. It only took a few nights for you to catch on that I wasn’t coming with a soother for you, so you learned to put yourself back to sleep. The consistent routine at the end of this month was eating at 7, 10, 1, 4, 7 then a dream feed at 10:00 and another feed at 4am. You eat every 3 to 3 ½ hours. You still get nice good feeds although you are still distracted, especially by Wren! You don’t love drinking from the bottle. Usually you just drink 2 oz from the bottle. Some of your skills are getting more keen, like your accuracy when you grab toys. You love to gnaw on Sophie and mommy’s hands. You are very drooly! You like tummy time again and have rolled back to tummy a couple times. You are starting to pull yourself up to sit and can stay sitting with balance support for a couple minutes. You like your exersaucer now and your jumperoo. You have started sitting in the highchair with us during meal times. You giggle, but it takes a lot of work! Everyday you give your daddy big smiles when he gets home and says hi to you! You love it when you hear music, especially when mommy sings to you and plays with your legs while we sing. You also really like bath time. You don’t mind going outside and being in the carrier anymore. Some big events this month were visiting Grandma and Grandpa F’s cabin, dressing up as a ladybug for Halloween, staying home with daddy while mommy was away for 2 feedings, and Wren’s 2^nd birthday party.
