Annalise, you had a very happy month! You had good naps
during the day, for the first half of the month, then naps got shorter and you
wanted to stay awake longer towards the end of the month. Nights were opposite!
You fed 2 or 3 times during the night, but didn’t always want to go back to
sleep right away. Sometimes I would be up with you an extra hour until you were
tired again. Then, towards the end of the month, you ate 1 or 2 times during
the night (mostly 2) and went back to sleep right away. That was very nice for
me!! Cluster feeding you in the evening did not work! Putting you to sleep for
naps and bed has become much easier. Usually I can tell when you are getting
tired because you start whining a bit, then I lay you down in your crib (this
makes you cry harder), then I zip up the sleep sac and pop the soother in and
you are happy and fall asleep. You usually eat every 2 ½ hours-3 hours.
Sometimes it’s 2 and sometimes it’s 4 depending on the day. You are eating
well. Just at the very end of the month you are starting to get distracted
while eating. You found your voice this month. You love to ‘talk’ and love it
when we talk back to you. You like to say ‘oooo’, ‘aaaaah’, and ‘guuuu’. It is
very easy for me to get smiles out of you! Some of your favorite activities are
playing in the play gym, watching Wren play, bath time (with Wren!), watching
the fan, standing (sometimes just by holding mommy’s hands) and tummy time
(which you started rolling at 2 ½ months by accident and at 3 months on
purpose). You have even started to go in the excersaucer, but I’m not sure how
much you really like it yet. You really don’t like your swing yet. You are not
the biggest fan of going outside. Some events that happened this month were:
going to the beach, going to Tinkertown, going to the zoo, going to Thomas the
train (although you and I didn’t go on the train), and daddy switching jobs
(from Richardson Pioneer to University of Manitoba). On your 3 month birthday you were 13lbs and 23” long. You
have started to loose your hair…oh no, but more is growing in underneath.
