Christmas Ornaments
Each year the kids get a new ornament to add to the tree. This year the ornaments came from Grandma Penner! Thanks
Annalise's ornaments to date (in order) And one from Grandma Wien's stash and a handprint
Everett's ornaments (and one from grandma Wien's stash)
Magna Tiles
Awesome new toy called Magna Tiles! This will lead to hours of entertainment and imaginative play!! Thanks Grandma Franzmann!
Christmas on the Penner's Side!
Decorating cookies! Annalise's cookie was decorated about 3 times because her decorations kept 'disappearing'!
Good thing the rest of the decorating committee was on task!
Everett's shirt says "Who needs Santa when you have Grandma" - very appropriate!Sawyer and Cooper introduced the kids to 'yoga'. Wren viewed it more as a show, but Annalise got into it!
Our biggest and most helpful cousin!! Thanks Sawyer!
New jammies handmade by grandma! AND they glow in the dark!!
Everett's First Acting Role
Everett landed the role of 'baby Jesus' in this year's 'live manger scene'. He did great. Slept the whole time we were on stage and coo'ed at just the right moment. Of course with him being baby Jesus, Colin and I got to be Mary and Joseph!
Christmas 2016!
Everett's Loot!
Wren was sick as a dog with strep throat, but he was a trooper! Love his Paw Patrol goodies - Robo Dog and the PAW PATROLLER!!
Annalise was pretty happy with the Paw Patroller too and LOTS of clips for her hair! But I think her favourite thing Christmas morning were the strawberry tic tacs!
Everett 2 Months
This has been a great month of growing and getting to know you more! We have discovered what a relaxed baby you are. You still love to sleep, although you are more awake now than last month. You give the biggest smiles! Oh I love it!! You will now smile at just about anyone (as long as they aren’t holding you with cold hands). It is very easy to get smiles out of you!
You still eat every 2 hours during the day and every 3 hours at night although you are starting to space the meals a bit further apart occasionally and in the evening you have started to cluster feed a bit. You eat very quickly, which is convenient for me! I like to try to keep you up after you eat and then put you down for a nap when you get tired, usually about an hour after you wake up. I find if we stick to that kind of schedule, then you have the best naps and often I just have to wrap you up and you’ll fall asleep on your own. But you can be very hard to keep awake after a feed! Sometimes you sneak a mini nap in when I’m burping you or carrying you around! You like to be in the upright position mostly. You mostly go right back to sleep when I feed you at night, so it only takes 20 mins or so to feed you at night.
You now save up your poop for one or two big poops through out the day and had one major blow out! Ahh! You are still fairly gassy, but not as much as last month. You also had your first cold, which lead to our first trip to the emergency room with you. Although we didn’t get in to see the doctor since it was full. We went to the doctor the next day and she said you’d be ok! You actually slept pretty well while you were sick because I kept you in the bouncy chair the whole night, which is your favourite place to sleep. You were introduced to the snot sucker and you did not like it, but you breathed so easy after we’d get all the snot out!!
You have occasionally gone outside with us to play in the snow. You get to stay in the carrier under a big jacket while I navigate the snow! There was a big 3 day snowstorm at the beginning of December, so we just stayed inside the whole time! That didn’t bother you!
You like your baths and still don’t like getting out, but there have been times where you didn’t cry at all! You aren’t super fond of the play gym, but tolerate it. You like to be in your playpen and look at your owls. You are very proud of your voice and love to talk!! Arrr, Grrr. Your hair has lightened up, but you still have most of it! It is thinning a bit in the back because you are always looking around! You had your first bottle from daddy and guzzled it down!! The second bottle you didn’t drink, but I don’t know how hungry you actually were.
Wren is still your biggest fan and Annalise constantly tells you she ‘wuv’s’ you! You bring smiles to each of us every day!
