New Summer Clothes!!

As we were shopping, we happened to walk by the summer baby clothes. WOW. Too cute to resist. Wren loves his new clothes!

Pool time with Daddy

Wren went for his first swim with his dad. It's amazing how buoyant he is! We are not sure if he enjoyed it or tolerated it. He didn't fuss, but he also didn't smile. I think he is just so mesmerized by the reflections of the water. Check out that adorable sun hat!!!

Canyon Lake

Our journey took us up into the hills! We saw a beautiful lake from near the top. Wren was unfortunately sleeping through this family picture... The first picture we were trying our hardest to keep our eyes open in spite of the blinding sun.

Wren's First Train Ride

 

One day we went on a old mining town tour. We rode the train around the site. Wren didn't even mind the very loud horn. He thought it was rather funny!

Jam Session

There was lots of opportunity to hear the good oldies at the 55+ RV Park. Colin and my dad, along with some others entertained us one evening. Wren was passed from one grandma to many others during the evening! No shortage of welcoming arms to cuddle him.

Colin arrived later that week and we went for some site-seeing. Wren did a good job travelling and sleeping while we did the tours, although we were hoping he'd start to get fussy on the one tour so we'd have a legit excuse to leave... Here we are at Casa Grande ruins, which we found out that they restored and then sprayed cement over everything to preserve it...so we didn't actually get to see too much!

Made it to Arizona!

Wren and I headed out on February 18th to go visit my parents in Arizona. We were up extra early (thanks Wren) and made it to the airport with lots of time to spare. Our first plane took us to Vancouver, then we were off to Phoenix. Wren did wonderful on the planes! Once there, it was so nice to not have to wear jackets, or worry about bundling him up to go outside. Wren learned what 'getting fresh air' is all about! It wasn't hot when we first got there, but eventually warmed up.
