Farmer John Cheese
Victoria Inn
Our vacation at the Victoria Inn was a success! The kids LOVED the dinosaur waterpark. It was perfect for little ones! By the end of the second day Wren was swimming without needing us to hold on to him (with his water wings!). Grandma and Grandpa Penner, Auntie Andrea, Uncle Scott and Ryleigh came the first night for supper. Wren had a blast going down the BIG swirly slide with Grandma! The second day Grandma and Grandpa Franzman, Great-Grandma Wiens, Uncle Corey, Auntie Lisa, Clay and Callie came to visit. (No pictures of Clay, he moves too fast!) The cousins had so much fun in the pool! It wasn't always the easiest juggling naps and bedtime, but we made do. A big thank you to Great Grandma Penner for our Christmas money which made this vacation possible!!

Saying Grace
Wren said grace for the first time today all by himself! God is great God is good. Let us thank him for this food. By his hands we all are fed. Thank you Lord for daily bread. In case you are wondering, I asked Wren to pose for this picture...don't worry...my eyes were mostly shut during the prayer.

8 months
Annalise, you continue to be a little gem! We are
all just so in love with you. This
month you started napping just 2 times – once around 10:00 and once around
2:30. You usually sleep for a total of 3 hours. You are still sleeping through
the night, except a couple nights when you were sick and teething. Even then,
it wasn’t hard to get you to go back to sleep! You go down for naps and bedtime
really easily still (!!!) I feed you 6 times still – not much has changed since
last month. You love eating, although while your teeth came in and you were
sick you did not want to eat off of a spoon. You love finger food including
chunks of meat, rice, vegetables, fruit and cheerios! You like to eat what we
are eating. Right at the beginning of this month you got your first tooth,
which didn’t bother you too much coming in. The second tooth was a little more
noticeable coming in a couple weeks later. You love playing with your new teeth
with your tongue!
Some new skills you learned this month were going
from sitting to a crawl-like stance then flopping on your belly, rolling again,
jumping in your jumperoo, winking, walking (assisted with 2 hands) everywhere
we will possibly take you, touching and feeling your ‘feely’ books, recognizing
favourite songs, and in general being more interested in books. You still don’t
like being on your tummy and will usually roll on to your back. You love the
‘shake your silly’ song, also the classics – Jeramiah blow the candles out and
Wheels on the Bus. You love bath time – whenever I lay you down you spend 5
mins just splashing like crazy with both hands and feet laughing and not caring
about how wet your face gets! The snot sucker is your mortal enemy. You love
playing peekaboo! You get so excited at the beginning of the day when we go get
Wren up – you know what opening that door means! We had lots of playdates, but
didn’t go very many places this month due to colds and teething (both of you!).
