Jumping!
Annalise finally learned how to jump in her jumperoo and loves it! She also recently learned how to shake her rattles when I say 'Shake shake shake'!!
My picky eater
It's hard to get wren excited about food. As I was puree'ing Annalise's food-ground beef with onions, wren could not get enough!! Who knew!
Treasure hunt
Treasure hunt...our new tactic to get wren to finish his food! This treasure hint included finding hats to wear, standing on one leg while counting to 3, cleaning up toys, walking backward to the new clue, and then finally...treasure!
2014 Christmas ornaments
So...taking these pictures was easier said than done! My plan is to give the kids a new ornament every year and take a picture of it with them! This year they received 4 beautiful ornaments!

Sleeping beauty!
I couldn't resist taking this picture of Annalise as I checked on her before going to bed! It's amazing how many different positions kids can have while they are sleeping! Melt my heart!
7 Months!
Everything to the mouth!!
CHEESE!!
Had to quickly snap this before she stole the sign!
Sitting so well now!
Big stretch!
She blows air now whenever I sing "Jeremiah blows the candles out" or when I blow on her!

7 Months
Not much has changed from last month with your sleeping
habits. You are still sleeping through the night (I could get used to this!). I
still give you the dream feed, more for my benefit than yours at this point! I
just love cuddling with you when you are sleeping. You still nap 3 times a day
equaling around 3 ½-4 hours. I literally just plunk you in bed, put the blanket
on top, sometimes pry your thumb out of your mouth to put the soother in (I
know it’s a losing battle at this point) and leave the room. It’s awesome. I’m
enjoying this stage so much! You nurse 6 times a day still: 7:30, 10:30, 2:00,
5:00, 7:30 and 10:00 (ish times). You nurse well, not getting too distracted,
although you do like to find daddy when you hear his voice, no matter how
hungry you are! You take a bottle like a champ! Although I’m running out of
stored milk for you…guess I’ll have to stay home more often! You also started
eating solids! Your first food was oatmeal cereal. You loved the spoon more
than the food at first and it got messy. After a few days, you got the hang of
it and have LOVED food ever since! There is nothing I have tried giving you
that you haven’t eaten. It’s so much fun feeding you! Your favourites are
cereal, blueberries, avocado, pears, peaches, squash, and sweet potato. We’ve
tried all sorts of things like broccoli, peas, carrots, yams, ground
moose/pork, chicken, roast, lentils/brown rice, bananas, yellow pepper,
homemade cheerios and puffs. You get quite worked up as you wait for me to get
it ready for you!
Some new skills this month are eating, sitting unassisted
for long times, interacting with toys and discovering what they can do, blowing
(when we blow on you or sing the “Jeremiah blow the candles out” song, you
blow!), talking (saying ‘na-na-na, nine-nine, da-da-da, and jiberish), you also
know that screaming gets our attention and stop scream immediately after we
look at you! You’ve actually stopped rolling again, although sometimes you get
onto your tummy at the beginning of nap and get mad instead of just rolling
back on to your back. You are getting much more ticklish on your tummy and
knees and have been giggling more and more!! You still spit up all the time,
but it’s less than before. Sometimes we go whole days without changing an
outfit! But bibs are still a necessity due to drooling. Your favorite songs are
“Wheels on the Bus, Popcorn Popcorn, On my Foot there is a flea, Jeremiah blow
the candles out”. Songs and music very much calm you down when you are worked
up! You still don't really like it when I leave the room. And if you are tired or hungry you just like being with mommy, or knowing where I am!
This month you had your first Christmas! You wore a
beautiful Christmas dress (from Auntie Barb) which you spit up on every time
within minutes of me putting it on you. You did a great job at the gatherings
being passed around and having decent naps! You actually slept in to 8:00 or
later during the festive season, which was SO nice for me! You have really
enjoyed your new toys: play food, play kitchen, walker with music, popping
turtle, light up music player, teddy bear, books (including one to chew on) and
so many more (so spoiled!). You’ve also enjoyed gnawing on Wren’s new toys! You are still very stationary, which was nice for Christmas, but I think once you start moving you will be happier to play more independently!
